Rosália Marta Pedro was born in 03 May 1976, in Maxixe- Mozambique. She holds a bachelor degree on Tourism from the University of Algarve in Portugal, and a Post-graduate certificate on Gender Equality Studies and Training at the University of Iceland. She is a Gender Focal Point at the Ministry of Land and Environment in Mozambique.
In 2010, she started and led a process to engage the environmental sector in institutionalizing gender considerations in the environmental plans, activities and programs that led to a creation of a specific department of Gender and Environment, now Gender and Environment Division.
In 2015 started to follow the negotiation processes under the UNFCCC. She continues to follow this matters and last year was appointed as the National Gender and Climate Change Focal Point for Mozambique.
