Pemy Gasela

Ms Pemy Gasela is an astute Public Servant Professional with hands – on experience in International Relations Negotiations – focusing on multilateral trade and climate change negotiations, community engagement and advocacy. She has a B.A. Honors in Political Studies and International Relations, from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.  She is currently a Director- International Climate Change, in the Branch Climate Change and Air Quality, of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) in South Africa. She possesses over 12 years’ experience in International Negotiations with specialised focus on Multilateral Climate Change Negotiations with a keen interest in: understanding environmental management and climate change issues and their impacts on the vulnerable in particular women and youth. In the climate change negotiations her stream of focus is on Gender and Climate Change, Capacity Building and Action for Climate Empowerment, where she is the Focal for South Africa
