Jailca da Silva Managem Lima, was born in the city of Santo António in the Autonomous Region of Príncipe (RAP), São Tomé and Príncipe, on September 22, 1978. She attended high school in STP (2000) and graduated in Sociology at the University of Oriente, FCS in Santiago de Cuba – Republic of Cuba in June 2009. I participate in the training: of the Preparation and Execution of an Association’s Annual Budget (2002); training for use the “Support Manual for Awareness on the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women – CEDAW” (2011); in “Communication to International and Regional Human Rights Mechanisms (treaty bodies, special procedures, universal periodic review) and monitoring the implementation of their recommendations (2011); Trainers on Gender and Development (2011); Gender Sensitive Economic Policy Management (IDEP 2014), Management of STP Public Sectors (China, 2018). Also I Participation in national and international high-level events: Validation Workshop of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC) Regional Action Plan for the implementation of Resolution 1325 (Brazzaville, 2018); Meeting of CEEAC Ministers responsible for Gender and Advancement of Women for Validation of the CEEAC Gender Policy, 2017-2027, the Action Plan for the implementation of the CEEAC Gender Policy: 2017-2027 and the Regional Action Plan for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325 and related Resolutions on Women, Peace and Security (Rwanda, 2019); Brazil-Africa South-South Exchange for the Protection of Women: High-level Forum and Technical Capacity Building (Brazil, 2019); National workshop for dissemination of the NDC, review/update of the National NDC Implementation Plan and on MRV Systems and climate transparency in STP (STP, 2021); National workshop on Gender and Climate Change (STP, 2022); Gender Assessment in Renewable Energy Projects in STP (STP, 2022); Gender Assessment in Agroforestry Projects in STP (STP, 2022); National Consultant for Gender Mainstreaming in STP’s Participatory Water Strategy (2021).
I have been working since 2010 until this moment, as a 3rd Class Senior Technician and Head of the Study and Research department of the Gender Institute.
