Festus Gakuoh is the Programme Coordinator of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Sub-Saharan Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. In his current role he coordinates projects to strengthen implementation and delivery of intended schedule, scope and budget of energy security and climate change in Sub-Saharan countries. Mr. Festus is a seasoned renewable energy expert and enthusiast who has worked at the nexus of climate change, energy business and policy.
Prior to his current position, Festus was a lead consultant with African Sol GmbH on developing renewable energy generation projects, implementation and portfolio management in East, Central & South Africa. He also served as a senior project manager at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK) where he delivered multi-channelled capabilities on bilateral and multilateral cooperation. He holds a Bachelor Degree on International Relations from the University of Nairobi, and project management professional from Strathmore University. He is keen on policy implementation on RE and Energy Efficiency towards a sustainable environment and development strategies.
