Chirry Laurine

Laurine is passionate about social justice, change, development and policy processes. She holds a BSc. in Community Development from Egerton University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Cooperation and Development at Pavia University, Italy. She has worked with women and youth in Agriculture through the International Associational of students in Agricultural and related Sciences(IAAS) and Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network-Global Coordination Unit (CSAYN-GCU), where she served as the African Regional Director and Partnership and External Relations Officer respectively. Her career objective is to work on policy issues that foster transformation, resilience and revolve around inclusion of Indigenous People, Youth and Women. She endeavors to bridge the gap between policy formulation and implementation in all sectors she will encounter in her career path so as to ensure that the beneficiaries of these policies benefit from them. Her themes of interests include Food Security, Family Farming, Gender Mainstreaming and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
