Chimere May Ohajinwa, PhD, is the Principal Consultant at C-Circle Research, an organization that is focused on environmental health researches and publication; their a motto is ‘… Raising Environmental Consciousness’. She is a public health specialist with more than 13 years of professional experience; 9 years as a consultant with various international Non-for-profit organizations on various public health projects and over 4 years in the academia. These experiences have helped her to acquire numerous skills ranging which she is currently transferring to her mentees. Currently, she helps organizations and businesses integrate environmental sustainability approaches into their business.
Dr Ohajinwa holds degrees in Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Leiden University, Netherlands, Master of Public Health (MPH) and B.Sc in Applied Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She has worked with several international Non-Governmental Organizations on various development projects supported by the World Bank, USAID, DFID, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), Nutritional international (NI) among others. The focus is mainly on the environment and the nexus between environment and nutrition. She has won several scholarship grants including the grant for her PhD research of which she was the principal investigator. Her Ph.D. research combined research methods in Epidemiology and Toxicology to assess the ‘Impacts of e-Waste Recycling’. She has published several scientific articles in international high-impact journals and currently reviews articles for international journals such as Chemosphere, Environmental Pollution among others.
