Blessing Mugomba

Blessing Nyamusamba Mugomba has experience in policy making, training and capacity building, community engagement and advocacy. She has years of experience in legal consultancy and environmental issues. She is completing her LLM in Environmental Law and Governance with the North West University of South Africa and finalizing a research focusing on Climate Change and Energy (Mitigation, Public Participation and Monitoring). She also has an LLB Hons from the University of Zimbabwe (2002) with Environmental Law and Planning as a module. She has volunteered at various NGOs in different capacities ranging from volunteering, rapportouring, facilitating through to advisory role as a professional and board member. Blessing managed a law firm for ten years and was active in drafting the current Zimbabwe’s constitution, including leading one thematic area on women and Gender. She is currently a part time consultant for training institutions which train across the African continent and through these institutions she has build capacity for diverse delegates from government, parastatal’s and private corporates amongst other institutions. She has trained on climate change and adaptation, environmental management and auditing, gender and sustainable development, diplomacy and protocol, policy drafting and negotiation amongst other courses
