My name is Patricia Alika DJETOUAN, originally from Côte d’Ivoire. I am a young woman with a Master’s degree in law, option climate change law. I work as a team leader on vulnerability and adaptation to climate change at the Directorate of the fight against climate change of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Côte d’Ivoire.
As part of my work, I lead a group of national technical experts on vulnerability and adaptation to climate change. I am also in charge of identifying the training needs of consultants and members of the group of technical experts in accordance with the theme concerned. In my previous job, I participated with the NGO ClientEarth and the NGO MALEBI in the sensitization of women on the practice of agroforestry and tree protection. Within the framework of REDD+ projects, I contributed to the effective implementation of committees for the settlement of complaints related to forestry activities in certain localities of Côte d’Ivoire. My career objective is to work with the government and non-governmental organizations on climate governance for adaptation and to participate in the research and implementation of climate change adaptation measures at the national and international level.
