Akouegnon Ferdinand

Akouegnon Ferdinand Ayimasse is a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Genetics, Biotechnology and Seed Science (GBioS), with research experience in markers-assisted Tree Breeding. He holds a B.Sc in Forestry and Wood Engineering, and an MSc in Forest Resources Management from the Université Nationale d’Agriculture (UNA), Benin. His research interest is at the intersection of Climate Change, Genomic Plant Breeding and Food systems. As a volunteer representative of Youth, Ferdinand is a climate and food system advocate for the biggest international association of students in agricultural and related sciences (IAAS), for which he led the External Relations Office of Africa in 2021
