Abel Musumali is an exceptional and experienced local and international climate change champion, policy analyst and strategist on issues of climate change, humanitarian, sustainable agriculture, forestry, renewable energy and smart planning for sustainable national development goals. He has been a climate change activist for over 10 years and has gained massive experience in regards to Climate Change governance and programmes regarding adaptation and mitigation strategies, resilience building and sustainable development. He is the CEO/Founder of an environmental organization called Green Enviro-Watch. He has participated in the development of national and international position papers, policy documents and negotiation papers on climate change and development to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). He is the member of the African Working Group on Gender and Climate Change, the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance, the Zambia Climate Change Network, the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support on Gender, Climate Change and Agriculture and the Climedev Youth Platform hosted by United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Union (AU) and the Africa Development Bank (AfDB). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Health and Environment Studies with University of Africa, a certificate in Sustainable Agricultural Land Management with University of Florida, a certificate in Planning for Climate Change in Africa with Erasmus University Rotterdam & Institute for Housing and Urban Development, a certificate in Climate Change Science and Negotiations with Sustainable Development Solution Network (SDSN.EDU).
