Sunungurai Dominica Chingarande| Professor, Gender Expert
Dominica is a holder of a PhD in Sociology, a Master of Science in Sociology and Social Anthropology and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with vast experience as a gender expert. I have conducted gender baseline surveys, qualitative studies on gender, Gender and Social Exclusion Analysis; Gender Equality Assessments; Gender Audits and Capacity Assessments; Gender Scoping Studies; Gender Policy analysis and development; and developing Gender Strategies and Action Plans for international agencies such as DFID, SIDA, CIDA, UN Women, UNFPA, EU, German Agro Action, Christian Aid and Care International in countries including Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, the Gambia, Namibia, Madagascar, Botswana, among others. I have worked in the following sectors: agriculture and rural development, land tenure, governance and human rights, water and sanitation, education, health, social service delivery, food security, livelihoods and climate change among others.
My areas of expertise include: Gender analysis and gender policy analysis; Gender audits and capacity assessments; Development of gender mainstreaming strategy and action plan; Development of Gender policy and mainstreaming tools; Internal and External Gender mainstreaming including institutional capacity strengthening.
